Preparing Your Quilt
- Press quilt top and backing. When in doubt, press towards the darker fabrics.
- Carefully clip all threads on the back of quilt top. Dark threads can poke through.
- Backing and binding MUST be at least 4” larger on all sides, and no more than 10” on width.
- Stay stitch 1/8” – 1/4” on pieced borders.
- Quilt top should lay flat and be square. Excess fabric may result in puckering.
- Remove selvedges on pieced backings. Please leave selvedges on sides for loading if possible.
- Pin your name to your quilt top and backing indicating top of quilt & top of backing.
